Welcome to The Brighton School! On behalf of the faculty and staff of our school, I want to thank you for taking time to learn more about how our school benefits children with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences.
We understand that for students who learn differently, school can be difficult. The struggles they face impact how they perceive themselves and how they believe others see them. However, when students come to our campus, they realize there are others like them who experience similar struggles. Almost immediately, there is a sense of relief, a sense of hope, a sense that Brighton is the place where challenges are understood and met head on. Our highly trained faculty are adept at simultaneously unveiling the strengths of each student while attending to areas of need.
Brighton’s four-pronged approach distinguishes us from all other schools in our region. Combining Orton-Gillingham-based reading therapy programs, high academic expectations, intentional social-emotional skill development and a focus on executive function skills together create creates a learning environment where students feel understood, supported, encouraged and capable of achieving their hopes and dreams.
Although academic paths may vary, it is always our hope that our students remain with us through graduation. A Brighton School diploma is the culmination of years of hard work and determination and proof that our students are far more than their diagnosis. A Brighton graduate is talented, resolute and prepared for the path before them.
I am very proud of the work we have done for students with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences. We would love to share more about our school and how we can help your child grow and learn.
