PARENT EDUCATION FORUM #3 [Thurs, Nov 21] Math: Reserve your spot here!
Brighton's third Parent Education Forum will be held on Thursday, November 21st at 6:30pm in the Bengal Den. The topic for the evening isMath. This forum will be presented by Kerry Eastwick, 6th-10th Grade Math Therapist, and Michele Macloud, K-5th Math Interventionist.
Mathematics education has changed rapidly with new strategies and ways to do math that we never learned in school. Join us to explore the world of multisensory math (using more than just a pen and paper). We'll look at some of the common strategies used to develop your child's math concepts, as well as learning how you can adapt what you have at home to reinforce their learning. We'll cover all year levels from elementary through to high school.
The Brighton School Parent Forum Series is a FREE resource designed to help Brighton families and families throughout our area. This event is highly recommended for new-to-Brighton families, encouraged for returning Brighton families, and open to the public throughout the Baton Rouge area.
We are a school that is dedicated to students who have dyslexia and other language-based learning differences. We believe that ALL students can learn. It’s a matter of how the instruction is given and the support that is available to push students to their potential.
