Coach Bibby is a graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio with a degree in Kinesiology. She began her teaching/coaching career in Florida, where she earned back-to-back North Suncoast Conference Coach of the Year Awards, the 2006 St. Petersburg Times Coach of the Year Award, and the Tampa Tribune All-Area Coach of the Year Award in 2007. She moved back to Texas and continued teaching/coaching at the secondary level in San Antonio for 10 years, then relocated to Austin where she became the district-wide Adapted PE teacher and Co-Head of Delegation for the EISD Special Olympic team. Coach Bibby has coached for several club volleyball programs in Texas and worked as a camp coach for various colleges. In addition to her extensive volleyball experience, she has spent over 15 years working with students of all ability levels who have unique learning styles and differences. Coach Bibby joined The Brighton School staff in 2022, teaching physical education to all grade levels and serving as Head Volleyball Coach. Bibby later assumed the roles of Athletic Director, managing all aspects of our school’s athletic programs, and Director of Advancement, creating additional fundraising opportunities to ensure the school has the resources it needs to achieve its mission. In her time as Head Volleyball Coach, she led the Lady Bengals to a championship title in the 2023-2024 season and was named 2023-2024 ACEL Division 2 Coach of the Year. Coach Bibby strives to create a classroom that promotes inclusivity, creates excitement for learning, engages all students, and genuinely supports each child in the way that they need.
