Cheryl Ollmann
Executive Director (non-voting)
Following her father’s footsteps, Cheryl entered the classroom for the first time in 1994 in central Vermont. During her tenure there, she taught third, fourth and fifth-grade students. After obtaining her master’s degree, she relocated to Baton Rouge and taught a fifth-grade English/Language Arts class at Episcopal High School. A year later, she became the Lower School Division Head at Episcopal, where she served in that capacity for five years. Cheryl served as principal of Children’s Charter School before joining Brighton’s administrative team. In her quest to learn as much as possible about students who learn differently, Cheryl has been trained in Sequential English Education, The Association Method, Montessori Applied to Children At-Risk, Multi-sensory Math, and more. Cheryl believes the social curriculum is as important as the academic curriculum, and Brighton can fully merge the two.
